Section 25-5-293(a) of the Code of Alabama, 1975 as last amended, requires continuing education for all personnel who handle Alabama workers' compensation claims. Eight (8) continuing education units which are approved by the Workers' Compensation division must be obtained each calendar year. Any person not accumulating the necessary continuing education units will receive a suspension of the privilege to handle workers' compensation claims in Alabama.
