Advanced Hikes at Chewacla State Park
Instructors: Harold Bruner, Cathy Love, and Maureen Donnan
Thursdays, June 11, 18; July 9, 16, 23 | 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Chewacla State Park
Participants will need to pay the entrance fee of $5.00 in person (People 62 and older are $3.00)
Designed for experienced hikers, this course features weekly 4–6 mile hikes at a moderate pace on occasionally challenging terrain. Participants should be prepared for summer heat and bring water, snacks, and electrolytes.
Required: At least one hiking pole is mandatory; two poles are preferred.
About the Instructors: Harold Bruner, Cathy Love, and Maureen Donnan have led OLLI hikes for more than 8 years. Between OLLI terms, they are hiking in many other locations, including internationally.
