Explore the fundamentals of Parkinson’s disease, including risk factors, signs, and symptoms. Participants will gain an overview of brain structure and function, with a focus on neurons and neurotransmitters and their role in the disease. The course will also address current treatment approaches, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological options, and clarify the distinction between Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonism.
About the Instructor:
Jason Chang is a retired faculty member from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he served as Course Director for Brain and Behavior and Cell Biology.
