Exploring Fables, Myths, and Animal Spirits in Mixed Media

This course explores the rich imagery found in fables and myths from around the world. Students will use a variety of materials, including collage, paint, pencil, and charcoal, to create their own visual stories inspired by timeless tales. Participants will develop original characters and spirit guides while building imaginative worlds that reflect both myth and personal vision. Designed for all skill levels, this class invites you to experiment, explore, and enjoy bringing magical stories to life through mixed media.
Materials: Students will supply their own materials.
About the Instructor:
Margee Bright Ragland is a retired Professor of Art from Georgia State University. She holds an MFA in Painting from Georgia State and a BFA from Auburn University.
