Introduction to the Psychological Theories of Carl Jung

This course introduces the key ideas of Carl Jung’s psychological theories, including introversion and extraversion, archetypes, the shadow, and the persona. Each session will include a short lecture followed by discussion and questions, allowing participants to explore how Jung’s insights connect to their own experiences. The class will also consider how Jung’s work continues to influence modern psychology, literature, and art.

About the Instructor:
Steve Harrison holds degrees in mathematics and literature and has taught numerous OLLI courses on poetry and Jungian psychology. He currently serves as co-chair of OLLI’s Curriculum Committee.
