The OLLI Sampler class is an opportunity for community members to try OLLI and for current members to share the joy of lifelong learning by bringing a friend. Each week highlights one of OLLI’s major areas of study, from history and literature to art, nature, wellness, and more, through engaging presentations and conversation. Classes are taught by our expert instructors and tailored just for these sessions. It’s a great way for members and guests alike to experience the variety of classes and community that OLLI offers.

Jan 28 – Art in Alabama – Alice Novak
Feb 4 – Staying Active with OLLI: Hiking—Where, When, and What You Need – Harold Bruner
Feb 11 – Writing with OLLI: Memoirs, Essays, and Poetry – Ken Autrey
Feb 18 – Exploring the Natural World of Alabama – Bill Deutsch and Gary Wagoner
Feb 25 – Health, History, and Science: The Impact of Infectious Diseases on History – Michael Canfield
Mar 4 – Conclusion: Benefits of OLLI and Social Hour – Scott Bishop

Registration is only $25 for all 7 sessions, and the cost is applied to your annual membership if you decide to join OLLI. Note to current members: The cost to attend the sampler course with your friend is included in your membership. If you are prompted to pay a fee when registering, please contact us at olli@auburn.edu to have the registration fee refunded.
