This one-session presentation explores the daily life of the ordinary Civil War soldier beyond the battlefield. Participants will learn about camp routines, combat experiences, food, clothing, and equipment, gaining insight into how soldiers lived, worked, and fought. The session will be enhanced with original and reproduction artifacts from the period, offering a rare, hands-on connection to nineteenth-century military history.

About the Instructor:
Virgil Moon is a former high-school U.S. history teacher with twenty-three years of classroom experience. He also spent nearly thirty years as a Civil War re-enactor, bringing deep historical knowledge and practical, immersive insight to his presentations.
