This course provides the tax evaluator, assessment clerk, appraiser, or mapper a list of properties that are entitled to exemption under the laws of the State of Alabama. The need for the evaluator to understand exemptions is of utmost importance to the assessment process. The evaluator should be alert for changes and discrepancies in properties that they are reviewing concerning who is using a property, when it is exempt, etc.
