Short stories by Ernest Hemingway will be examined. The style and background of each story will be discussed. Hemingway's life in Paris after The Great War and his experiences in the Spanish Civil War and the war in Normandy in 1944, and their impact on his stories will be discussed. The influence of bullfighting, East Africa, and experiences in the Upper Peninsular of Michigan upon his stories will also be reviewed. Book: Hemingway, E. (1987).
