ALGTI: Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Management

This course examines counties’ best practices in preparing for emergencies and mitigating their detriment. Alabama’s counties have recently encountered widespread natural disasters, public and school safety breeches, infectious disease outbreaks, and even mass wildfire. Assessing the county’s role in the immediate response to such crises as well as the ensuing recovery efforts, this course improves the impact of county officials and personnel during an emergency.
