Presented by the Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) at Auburn University, the Intensive Economic Development Training Course, commonly referred to as “Intensive,” is comprised of two one-week sessions that introduce participants to all phases and concepts of economic development.
Week One of Intensive is accredited by the International Economic Development Council and fulfills a prerequisite for those pursuing the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation. Week Two of Intensive focuses on critical resources, practices, and issues especially relevant to economic developers and community leaders working in Alabama.
