American Sign Language II

This is a follow-up class to the ASL Level I class. It is designed to cover more advanced conversation skills. Students will be encouraged to communicate in a more abstract way and to consider the environment outside of the classroom. Communication will involve describing both past and present events.

Class Schedule:

Class will meet (6) Tuesdays from October 24th to November 28th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Central Standard Time).

Location:

The conference room (Room 328) in O.D. Smith Hall (135 South College Street) is located on the third floor. Everyone must enter the back door and walk up one half flight of steps to get the elevator to the third floor, or you can walk all the way. Parking is available in the lot behind O.D. Smith Hall that you enter from Thach Avenue, right behind the University Chapel. If you are entering O. D. Smith Hall from South College Street, enter the building through the door located at the top of the handicapped access ramp. Turn right and go down the hall to take the elevator to the third floor. Exit the elevator and take a right. Room 328 (conference room) will be at the end of the hall.

Professional Development Note:

Those seeking professional development training will qualify for award of 1.2 CEU upon successful completion of this course.

Withdrawals & Refunds:

If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, we ask that you notify the Office of Professional & Continuing Education (fax, or in writing/email) no later than three business days prior to the beginning of the course. A full refund minus a $20 administrative charge, is given when cancellation is made three business days prior to the first scheduled session; no refund thereafter.
