Water workout II: Low Impact Conditioning Fall Term

Water workout is great excercise. Get in touch with your body and rediscover a level of fitness which enhances daily living. You do not have to be a fitness guru to benefit from and enjoy this class.

This program is good for the aerobic enthusiast or for those beginning a water rehabilitation regimen. Exercises which involve pushing and pulling the water contribute to strength conditioning while low or zero impact walking/jogging improves your stamina. Flotation equipment is available for participation in deep water. Non-swimmers are welcome and should find that they are quite confident with flotation equipment.

Parking Permits: Participants may park, with a special permit provided by the instructor displayed in their dashboard, in the spaces along Biggio Drive. These special arrangements are for morning swim classes only, M - F, from 8:45 am - 10:15 am.

Schedule:

This course meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 14th to December 14th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Each Day

Class Will not meet on November 23rd for Thanksgiving. Class may also be cancelled on Tuesday, November 21st; pending availability of student lifeguards and will be announced later.

Location:

The James E. Martin Aquatics Center is located on Roosevelt Drive between the Memorial Coliseum and the Student Activities Center.

Parking:

Only students who have a handicapped placard can park in the designated handicapped spaces near the Aquatics Center. All others must park in the main coliseum lot. You must place your special parking sign provided by the instructor on the DASHBOARD OF YOUR CAR.

Registration Fees:

All students will be charged the same registration fee regardless of how many sessions are attended. Late registrants will be charged the same price as well as those registering at the beginning of the semester.

Withdrawals & Refunds:

If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, we ask that you notify the Office of Professional & Continuing Education (fax, or in writing/email) no later than three business days prior to the beginning of the course. A full refund minus a $20 administrative charge, is given when cancellation is made three business days prior to the first scheduled session; no refund thereafter.
