Coaching Certification Initiative (Cohort 1 Phase A & Cohorts 1 & 2 Phase B)

Professional coaching is an important tool in the academic environment because it helps students and faculty members develop their leadership skills, improve their communication skills, and enhance their overall performance. International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited coach training programs, such as those offered by the Auburn University – Shipley Coaching partnership, provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become certified professional coaches with applications to many education programs. Additionally, ICF offers Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Accreditation, which allows coaches to pursue additional and continuing education and professional development. By providing high-quality coaching services and setting the gold standard for coaching practices, ICF Coaching certification programs help to promote the positive impact of coaching on individuals and society as a whole.

This course will include Cohort 2 completing Phase A and will merge with Cohort 1 who completed Phase A in March 2024 (C240219). Both Cohorts will merge as a single class to complete Phase B Late Summer 2024 (C240522).
