Coaching Certification Initiative (VIRTUAL)

Professional coaching is an important tool in the academic environment because it helps students and faculty members develop their leadership skills, improve their communication skills, and enhance their overall performance. International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited coach training programs provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become certified professional coaches. The Shipley Coach Training Certification (SCTC) is an ICF-accredited, step-by-step, experiential learning process that provides the skills required to become a competent and confident coach. Shipley's "Whole Systems Model" keeps the coaching simplified and powerful. Regardless of the coaching specialty you choose - business owners, executives, parents or other audiences - you will have the strong foundation and powerful tools you need to succeed in your coaching career. This course sets the participant up for the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification. The course includes 34 hours course work & a practicum of 30 hours of mentored coaching. The participant will also have to log 100 hours of coaching and successfully complete a certification exam to complete the ICF ACC certification.
