Did you get a wonderful new digital camera for the holidays or do you have one that you would like to use to its full potential?  Here's your opportunity  to learn the basics of taking professional looking pictures with your camera. This introductory course teaches basic camera operation, fundamentals of exposure, and composition. The only requirement is a digital SLR camera, with changeable lenses. The course focuses on using the correct camera settings for the best results. Classroom instruction includes a field trip. Class is designed for adults.

Notes:

Schedule: This course will have 5 meetings on Thursdays from June 1st to June 29th . Class will meet from 6:30 - 8:30 pm (Central Standard Time). Location: The conference room (Room 328) in O.D. Smith Hall (135 South College Street) is located on the third floor. Everyone must enter the back door and walk up one half flight of steps to get the elevator to the third floor, or you can walk all the way. Parking is available in the lot behind O.D. Smith Hall that you enter from Thach Avenue, right behind the University Chapel. If you are entering O. D. Smith Hall from South College Street, enter the building through the door located at the top of the handicapped access ramp. Turn right and go down the hall to take the elevator to the third floor. Exit the elevator and take a right. Room 328 (conference room) will be at the end of the hall. Supplies: It is strongly recommended that a digital SLR camera with changeable lenses is brought to class, although not a requirement to participate in class. Professional Development Note: Those seeking professional development training will qualify for award of 1 CEU credit upon successful completion of this course. Withdrawals & Refunds: If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, we ask that you notify the Office of Professional & Continuing Education (fax, or in writing/email) no later than three business days prior to the beginning of the course.
