Focuses on procedures used by tax collectors to satisfy tax liability or relieve tax collectors from liability when property tax is not collectable. The course includes such sample topics as: jeopardy collections, taxpayer left county, sale of tax liens, partial payments, government acquisitions of property, bankruptcies, personal demand, docketing, posting of notice of sale, sale of property, and redemptions. It is recommended that participants have completed the course Property Tax Administration and Laws and have a broad knowledge of the property tax process.

NOTE: This class is being held in a PHYSICAL IN CLASSROOM Format only. Thank you for registering for "Tax Sales and Redemptions" on January 26, 2022. This class will begin Wednesday, January 26th at 8:30 AM and conclude on Friday, January 28th at 1:00 PM at the Lee County Training Facility, 205 South 10th Street. There is plenty of parking available at this facility. Please refer to the attachments for additional course and hotel information, including a list of supplies you will need to bring to class. It is recommended (but not required) that participants have completed the course Property Tax Administration and Laws and have a broad knowledge of the property tax process. If you enrolled by mistake, please contact the GEDI Office within 5 business days to cancel and the cancellation fee will be waived. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Provided that space is available, receipt of the registration form constitutes registration. NOTE: The University will not refund for check payments unless the agency is a registered vendor of the University. Written cancellations, received fifteen (15) working days (on or before January 5th) prior to the beginning of the program will be honored with a partial refund (credit card only) of the registration, less a $50 administration fee. Due to commitments to instructors and meeting facilities, late cancellations or non-attendance will not be refunded or transferred to escrow. Substitutions for registered participants can be made at any time.
