The county commission encounters the threat of litigation as a result of the actions or inactions of county officials and personnel on an almost daily basis. This course is designed to provide the county commissioner with a good working knowledge of the potential risks and the tools necessary to reduce or mitigate those risks through good management policies and practices, proper training of personnel, implementation of best practices for workplace safety, and much more.

This class will begin Thursday,June 23rd at 10:00 AM and conclude on Friday, June 24th at 12:00 Noon at the Marriott Montgomery Prattville (Legends) at Capitol Hill at 2500 Legends Circle in Prattville, AL. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Provided that space is available, receipt of the enrollment request by online registration, email, fax or mail constitutes registration. NOTE: The University will not refund for check payments unless the agency is a registered vendor of the University. Written cancellations, received fifteen (15) working days prior to the beginning of the program (on or before June 3rd) program will be honored with a partial refund (credit card only) of the registration fee, less administrative charges of $50. Due to commitments to instructors, meeting facilities, and caterers, full payment is required for late cancellations or non-attendance.
