This program will cover the Economic Development impact of attracting retail businesses to communities. Topics included are: Retail Development – Opportunities and Challenges; Trends in retail development; Planning for Retail Development and Retail Success Strategies.

ACCMA MEMBERS: Certified ACCMA members can receive 4.0 hours of continuing education (CE) credit for attending this course.


As a hybrid learning opportunity, the EDAA Leadership Institute's "Attracting Retail" course will be offered via online webinar and via in-person attendance at the Auburn Center for Developing Industries (ACDI), which is located at 1500 Pumphrey Ave, Auburn, AL 36832. The online webinar's hyperlink will be distributed before the event. For hybrid course offerings, GEDI requires a minimum of fifteen (15) participants for the in-person offering. In instances where this minimum is not met, the course will be offered entirely online, and registrants will be notified.

Provided available capacity, receipt of your registration confirmation by mail, email, phone or fax constitutes registration. If payment is not submitted, please request an invoice to include with check payment, or call GEDI at (334) 844-4782 for credit card payment.

Cancellation Policy
Written cancellations received fifteen (15) working days prior to the beginning of the program will be honored with a partial refund of the registration fee, less an administrative fee of $50.00, if the registration fee was paid by credit card. Please note that Auburn University will not refund check payments unless the agency is a registered vendor of the university.

Due to commitments with instructors, facilities and other stakeholders, registration fees associated with late cancellations or non-attendance will not be refunded.
