Basic Mapping-Tuscaloosa

Alabama Basic Mapping focuses on the need for developing accurate maps and how to maintain them. Mapping office management, map legends, aerial photography and the process of map development and maintenance are covered. Attention is given to the property ownership card, proper inking and necessary equipment. Contacts with the public and common problems are also discussed. This class meets Wednesday-Thursday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; and Friday, 8:30 AM-1:00 PM.

Thank you for registering for Basic Mapping on April 26-28, 2023. Basic Mapping will begin Wednesday, April 26th at 8:30 AM and conclude on Friday, April 28th at 1:00 PM at the Alabama Fire College, 2501 Phoenix Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. There is plenty of parking available at this facility. Please refer to the attachments for additional course and hotel information. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Provided that space is available, receipt of the registration form constitutes registration. NOTE: The University will not refund for check payments unless the agency is a registered vendor of the University. Written cancellations, received fifteen (15) working days (on or before April 5th) prior to the beginning of the program will be honored with a partial refund (credit card only) of the registration, less a $50 administration fee. Due to commitments to instructors and meeting facilities, late cancellations or non-attendance will not be refunded or transferred to escrow. Substitutions for registered participants can be made at any time.
