AAAO: Personnel Management

The Alabama Association of Assessing Officials (AAAO) offers pre-conference courses at their Summer conference. Topics vary each year. These are tested courses.

For Summer 2023, there are two courses from which to choose:

" Personnel Management - Brandon Causey and Amanda Wolfe
Description: This course will focus on interpersonal skills and practical interactions in the workplace. Students will explore ways to better communicate, collaborate, and develop productive relationships with co-workers and the public.


" Income Approach to Valuation - Joseph Brewer and Olive Fitzpatrick
Description: This course will provide an overview of the income approach to value. Students will identify when to appropriately apply the income approach, use various methods and techniques to convert income to a value estimate, analyze income and expense data, and select an appropriate capitalization rate.

Thank you for registering for "AAAO Pre-conference course: "Personnel Managment" on July 31 - August 1, 2023 This class will begin Monday, July 31st at 8:30 AM and conclude on Tuesday, August 1st at 12:00 Noon at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama. There is plenty of parking available at this facility. Please refer to the attachments for additional course and hotel information, including a list of supplies you will need to bring to class. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Your registration is CONFIRMED, and payment is requested before the course start date unless you make prior arrangements. Payment can be made by credit card by calling our office, or invoices will be sent. NOTE: The University will not refund for check payments unless the agency is a registered vendor of the University. Written cancellations, received fifteen (15) working days prior to the beginning of the program (by July 10th) will be honored with a partial refund (credit card only) of the registration fee, less an assessed administrative fee ($50). Late cancellations or non-attendance are non-refundable, and payment is expected in full. Substitutions can be made at any time.
