ACRMS: Risk Management Basics

Introduction to important definitions, develop knowledge of important terms. Insurance will also be discussed. This is one of five courses in the AAPPA Risk Management Certification Program, and meets 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p,m. on the day of the course offering.

If you are taking this course to earn certification in either the Risk Management Certification Program or in the AAPPA HR or Specialist Certification Program, you must take and pass the exam. If you are already certified in either AAPPA or Payroll Specialist, AND you are only taking this course for CE hours in either of those programs, then you do not need to take the exam. If you are already certified as a Risk Management Specialist with AAPPA, you can only repeat this course every five (5) years for CE hours, and do not need to retake the exam. This course may count simultaneously for all three certification programs (AAPPA HR or Specialist, ACPS, ACRMS).

2. Attend class during the designated times/dates (not a pre-recorded class)

3. Be fully engaged during the course with no other activities or distractions in the background

4. Complete Online Exam at the end of the class .

This class will begin Thursday, August 3rd at 9:00 AM and conclude at 4:30 PM at the Auburn Center for Developing Industries, 1500 Pumphrey Ave, Suite A, in Auburn, Alabama. There is plenty of parking available at this facility. Please refer to the attachments for additional course information. Check the website or email gedi@auburn.edu for a list of our hotels.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

Your registration is CONFIRMED, and payment is requested before the course start date unless you make prior arrangements. Payment can be made by credit card by calling our office, or invoices will be sent. NOTE: The University will not refund for check payments unless the agency is a registered vendor of the University. Written cancellations received fifteen (15) working days prior to the beginning of the program (on or before July 13th) will be honored with a partial refund (credit card only) of the registration, less a $50 administration fee. Due to commitments to instructors and meeting facilities, late cancellations or non-attendance will not be refunded or transferred to escrow. Substitutions for registered participants may be made at any time.
