AAPPA: Compensation and Job Evaluation

This course covers information that a human resource professional needs to design and maintain a compensation system in a public jurisdiction. Topics include; a review of legal influences, job analysis and job evaluation methods, pay surveys, designing and administering a pay structure, and legally required and discretionary benefits.

This is an ELECTIVE course in GROUP 2 HR Administration for both HR Professionals and HR Specialists.

If you want to attend the "virtual/online" format then you must contact the GEDI Training Specialist, Danielle Rogers, at cdr0051@auburn.edu. This class will begin Thursday, September 14th at 9:00 AM and conclude on Friday, September 15th at 1:00 PM at the Auburn Center for Developing Industries at 1500 Pumphrey Ave Auburn, AL 36832. There is plenty of parking available at this facility. Please refer to the attachments for additional course information and hotel room block information. NOTE: If you are certified with AAPPA, you do not have to sit for the exam. Also, if you are ONLY certified as a Payroll Specialist or Risk Management Specialist, you do not have to sit for the exam. The exam is only required for those who are working towards AAPPA certification. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Your registration is CONFIRMED, and payment is requested before the course start date unless you make prior arrangements. Payment can be made by credit card by calling our office, or invoices will be sent. Written or email cancellations received 15 working days prior to the beginning of the class (on or before August 24th) will be honored with a refund of the registration fee, less an assessed administrative fee ($50). Late cancellations or non-attendance are non-refundable, and payment is expected in full. Substitutions can be made at any time.
