This course is designed to provide the students with an understanding and working knowledge of the procedures and techniques required to estimate the market value of vacant and improved properties. This course concentrates on the skills necessary for estimating the market value of properties using two approaches to value: the cost approach and the sales comparison approach. Text: Property Assessment Valuation (PAV) (3rd Edition)


This class is being offeried in a hybrid format. If you are interested in taking the class through a virtual format you need to contact Julia Heflin by August 28, 2023. Note, if you choose the online format, you will need a designated computer in a private area with good quality video and audio capability. The exam will be provided in an online format through a proctoring service and the Student Reference Manuals will be provided electronically. This class will begin Monday, September 18 at 8:30 AM and conclude on Friday, September 22 at 12:00 Noon . Please print attached Information Sheet which has class times, meeting venue address and hotel room block information. It also provides a list of course supplies you need to bring with you to the class. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Your registration is CONFIRMED, and payment is requested before the course start date unless you make prior arrangements. Payment can be made by credit card by calling our office, or invoices will be sent. NOTE: The University will not refund for check payments unless the agency is a registered vendor of the University. Written or email cancellations received 30 working days prior to the beginning of the class (on or before August 17) will be honored with a partial refund (credit card only) of the registration fee, less an assessed administrative fee ($50).
