ACCMA: Public Budgeting and Financial Management

This course is designed to provide an overview of theories and techniques surrounding stewardship of public resources, a critical responsibility of local government professionals. The course explores such issues as financial planning and control, risk management, procurement, management of grants and contracts, reporting, and accounting.

Presented by the Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) at Auburn University, the Alabama City County Management Association’s (ACCMA) “Public Budgeting and Financial Management” course, a component of the ACCMA Local Government Professional Management Certification Program, will be held April 16-17, 2024, in Suite A of the Auburn Center for Developing Industries (ACDI), which is located at 1500 Pumphrey Avenue, Auburn, AL 36832. Additionally, the course will be hosted online for remote participation. The course’s sessions will take place from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Tuesday, April 16, and continue from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17.
